Visit Quimby’s website for more info
Quimby’s is one of my favorite places in Chicago. I’ve spent countless hours perusing their comics and wonderful, strange books. I am truly thankful to take part in this event and hope to see you there!
Ten Chicago printmakers chose their favorite Chicago musical artists and bands to each record an original song for a compilation. Each printmaker will create a 10″ x 10″, 3-color print inspired by the song they commissioned. The final package will feature a suite of ten fine art prints and a ten song compilation of exclusive tracks.
Organized by Spudnik Press and Homeroom Chicago
For this project, I teamed up with a very talented musician and artist in Chicago, Max Alexander. Here is a photo of *just* printed 300 completed two-color prints, drying:

Participating artists were asked to create posters in the style of WPA-era posters of the 1940’s. The goal is to raise awareness of certain social/political/environmental issues of today. The posters will be distributed in public spaces, donated to educators and workshops, and exhibited on April 16th at EXPO 72 / Chicago Tourism Gallery
Visit The Library of Congress’ WPA Posters Collection for some inspiring WPA source imagery.
