Zdravo! *

My name is Sanya. I'm a visual designer, artist and illustrator focusing on elegant and effective human-centered communications. The other part of my brain enjoys drawing, printmaking, and exploring some of the darker, hidden realms of the human psyche.

Born in Tehran to Bosnian parents, I spent my early years in Bosnia before the Yugoslav wars of the 90's eventually brought us to Arizona. After receiving my degree in Visual Communications from the University of Arizona, I spent many years living and working in Chicago, where I met some amazing people. I currently reside on the lovely pacific coast of San Francisco.

Over the years, I've had the privilege to work with non-profit and for-profit organizations in the areas of product research and innnovation, women's health technology, branding, music, editorial and book illustration. In addition, I taught printmaking and design media at numerous arts and youth organizations and at Columbia College Chicago.
