Part of a collaborative art and culinary project, pairing six artists with six chefs.
Inspired by local and native foods, we focused on wild rice, a grass native to the Midwest and Great Lakes regions.
Wild rice bears reverence in the cultures of several Native American tribes. It is referred to as "manoomin" by the Ojibwe people, meaning "good berry".
This lithograph is made in commemoration of the history and legends surrounding this miraculous plant.
