Hi, I’m back from a few days’ absence, I’ve been busy drawing and printing! On Thursday, I finished this five-color screenprint and I’m finally posting it. I should mention that this whole thing started as a small drawing I was going to do for a friend who recently opened a new vegan restaurant in Logan Square, called “Life on Mars”. I got really inspired by the name and theme of the restaurant, so the small drawing turned into a big drawing turned into… a five-color screen print! Yay :) He was really happy to receive one, and it will go up in the restaurant along with some other awesome prints people are making for the occasion (the bonus of knowing a bunch of printers!) So here’s the print, featuring pretty much life on Mars… also, the ink and pencil versions.
This print is approx. 14.5″ x 10.25″, full bleed, on 100# cream French Cover, in an edition of 43. There’s some nice halftone patterns going on as well, I included a detail.
