I DO know them! I stumbled onto your blog when a friend send me an email about Life on Mars (I live very close to it and was wondering what that place was going to be. Stoked that it’s a vegan restaurant). Anyway, then I realized you’re an illustrator and I am as well. So I looked around and found this! I know Kirsten and Garrett. I went to school with them in Baltimore and they made this in an animation class we were all in. It was far and away a stand out in the class. Kirsten has made some other amazing animations that are doing really well on the festival circuit.

wow okay, that’s amazing! i really love that video, the whole package actually, from all-handdrawn incredibly imaginative animation to the old-timey feel of the song. well we should get together sometime, since we’re both doing the same thing and live in logan sq. (it’s really where it’s at) nice to meet you ramsey :)

That would be great! Nice to meet you to. Also, you might be a good person to ask since I see you do some screen printing. My friends and I are setting up a Chicago Zine Fest for March and are looking for someone to silk screen a limited number of posters (probably around 30?). We don’t have a big budget at all so we’re looking for people who would do it on the cheap. Know of anyone who would be interested? If they make zines, they could have a free table at the fest as well, of course. Thanks!
