Okay so Memphis was faaaantastic! It’s full-on spring there, everything is covered in flowers and birds and pollen! And absolutely everyone says “y’alll” and “folks” and it’s great! I loved the overgrown yards, the porch music, and how people just waved when we walked by. It made me miss Tucson, the general friendliness and more laid-back approach to life. We hardly partook in any of the tourist stuff, we just rode our bikes and walked all day and ate lots of catfish & bbq. We stayed in a really cute neighborhood called Cooper-Young. Graceland was way too expensive to visit and I suppose we really didn’t care all that much, there was plenty of exploring to do by foot.

car blues!

The Mississippi River, and Brook!

drunken college frat party Beale Street

a big-ass flag somewhere downtown, covering an entire building

tons of wispy, winding branches in the forest

the find of the day: a piano-like instrument left on the sidewalk, it works! and pretty tree blossoms :)

Have you seen Punch Drunk Love? I am reminded of the harmonium left on the street. Great imagery. How are you guys?

hiya mike! we’re doing great, kinda busy these days. what are you up to? still in london, at royal? i saw that movie a long time ago, though i remember some kind of instrument. it’s sortta cheap and plastic-y, the sound reminds me of a miniature organ… though it’s not at all an organ. actually i dont know if miniature organs exist but that would be so cute if they did! good to know the proper name though, ‘harmonium’. thanks!

Yeah, still in London. Graduate in July. If I graduate. Ha. Anyway, back to work.
