Here are some images from the Around the Coyote opening on Saturday. It was a really fun time, lots of really good work, performances, sound art, lots of people… and for some strange reason, tables and tables of sweets… weird.

  • I did it! My first animation ever!

First ever totally hand-drawn animation. It took 52 drawings (frames) and quite some time, but it’s really exciting to see it come together. I enjoyed the process very much and want to make some more! I cant believe I didn’t do this earlier in life.

    12.15 window view

I was at the Splat Flat studios today helping Brook install his new piece for the show on Friday (see previous post). While waiting for him to drill out a piece of a wall, I drew the view from the 2nd floor window. The strip of grey smoke coming out a tiny chimney looked so beautiful rising in the cold air.

Come see Brook’s (brookhartjonquil.com) brand-new, one night only installation “Double Negative” at LiveBox Labs curated by Patrick Cunningham and Catherine Forster.

Each artist was given one studio and two weeks to create site-specific work.

It snowed today! A lot of it melted by the afternoon when I took these, but here they are some photos from our apartment anyway.
