Updates from September, 2012
Here are some images from the Around the Coyote opening on Saturday. It was a really fun time, lots of really good work, performances, sound art, lots of people… and for some strange reason, tables and tables of sweets… weird.
Yefeng Wang, The Eroded 10X10
Mark Beasley and Isabella Ng
Brookhart Jonquil and me in front of his piece, Double Negative
Jonas Sebura, An Indefinite Amount of Physical Quantity (performance)
First ever totally hand-drawn animation. It took 52 drawings (frames) and quite some time, but it’s really exciting to see it come together. I enjoyed the process very much and want to make some more! I cant believe I didn’t do this earlier in life.
I was at the Splat Flat studios today helping Brook install his new piece for the show on Friday (see previous post). While waiting for him to drill out a piece of a wall, I drew the view from the 2nd floor window. The strip of grey smoke coming out a tiny chimney looked so beautiful rising in the cold air.
Each artist was given one studio and two weeks to create site-specific work.

This is a fundraiser for Around the Coyote, they’re asking for a $30 donation because they are totally broke. Yeah, um, that will probably not happen, but gotta give it to them for trying! Give what you can, come drink and check out all the work, should be good!
