• Inking

  Yesterday I spent most of the day sketching, drawing and inking the title page spread. It’s not finished yet but I wanted to photograph it before I end up spilling globs of ink on it or anything like that. The concept behind this image is to capture the sinister, whimsical mood of the book, so I created a tangled growth of thistly plants and faces; of couse I’ll be adding the title and other text, as well as color, etc…
